Nepal records 143 cases, 563 recoveries and nine deaths on Sunday

KATHMANDU, Nov 7: Nepal recorded 143 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday along with 563 recoveries and nine deaths, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP). 

As many as 4,844 tests were conducted on Sunday. Of them, 141 PCR and two antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus. So far, 74,34,797 people have been administered full doses of COVID-19 across the country.

There are currently 7,959 active cases of COVID-19 across Nepal. Of them, 7,124 are in home isolation, 589 in institutional isolation, 197 in ICUs, and 49 on ventilators. Similarly, 112 people are in quarantine facilities. 

Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 119 new cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 80 were recorded in Kathmandu, three in Bhaktapur, and 36 in Lalitpur districts.
