KATHMANDU, March 12: Nepal recorded 73 new cases of COVID-19 along with 192 recoveries and zero deaths from the deadly virus on Saturday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 5,062 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 30 PCR and 43 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 5,096 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 4,949 are in self-isolation, 101 in institutional isolation, 40 in ICU’s and six on ventilators. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,950 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 21 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 15 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, two in Bhaktapur, and four in Lalitpur districts.
