KATHMANDU, March 18: Nepal recorded 51 new cases of COVID-19 along with 392 recoveries and zero death from the deadly virus on Friday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 5,914 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 12 PCR and 39 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.

There are currently 4,029 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 3,927 are in self-isolation, 69 in institutional isolation, 27 in ICUs and six on ventilators. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,950 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, Kathmandu district recorded only eight cases of COVID-19 on the day. The two other districts of the Kathmandu Valley, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur, reported zero cases.
