KATHMANDU, Feb 21: Nepal recorded 388 new cases of COVID-19 along with 1,205 recoveries and four deaths from the deadly virus on Monday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 8,140 samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 247 PCR and 141 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.
There are currently 11,440 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 10,819 are in self-isolation, 463 in institutional isolation, 139 in ICU’s and 19 on ventilators. Similarly, 107 are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,925 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 96 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 77 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, 8 in Bhaktapur and 11 in Lalitpur districts.
