KATHMANDU, July 19: Nepal recorded 357 new cases of COVID-19 along with 62 recoveries and zero death from the virus on Tuesday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 3,357 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 268 PCR and 89 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.

There are currently 2,001 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 1,865 are in self-isolation, 117 in institutional isolation and 19 in ICUs so far, 11,954 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 149 cases of COVID-19 on Thursday. Among them, 119 cases were recorded in Kathmandu and 30 cases in Lalitpur district.
