KATHMANDU, Jan 3: Nepal recorded 326 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday along with 255 recoveries and two deaths, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 12,498 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 291 PCR and 35 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 5,115 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 4,753 are in home isolation, 252 in institutional isolation, 89 in ICUs, and 21 on ventilators. Similarly, 98 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,598 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 184 cases of the virus on Monday. Of them, 140 were recorded in Kathmandu, 16 in Bhaktapur, and 28 in Lalitpur districts.
