KATHMANDU, March 17: Nepal recorded 27 new cases of COVID-19 along with 220 recoveries and zero death from the deadly virus on Thursday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 4,747 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 22 PCR and five antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 4,410 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 4,302 are in self-isolation, 74 in institutional isolation, 28 in ICUs and six on ventilators. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,950 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, Kathmandu district recorded only nine cases of COVID-19 on the same day. The two other districts of the Kathmandu Valley, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur, both reported zero cases.
