Nepal records 2,622 new cases through 11,527 tests on Monday

KATHMANDU, July 5: Nepal recorded 2,622 new cases, 2,211 recoveries and 23 deaths on Monday.


According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 7,499 PCR tests and 4,028 antigen tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Of them, 1,745 PCR tests and 4,028 antigen tests turned out to be positive for COVID-19. With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 casetally has surged to 685,361 including 611,729 recoveries and 9,248 deaths.

There are currently 22,998 COVID-19 patients in home isolation, 2,692 in institutional isolation, 571 in ICUs and 180 on ventilators.


The Kathmandu Valley recorded 562 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday. Of them, 378 were detected in Kathmandu, 60 in Bhaktapur and 124 in Lalitpur districts.
