KATHMANDU, March 19: Nepal recorded 17 new cases of COVID-19 along with 409 recoveries and zero death from the deadly virus on Saturday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 4,543 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, eight PCR and nine antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 3,628 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 3,535 are in self-isolation, 60 in institutional isolation, 27 in ICUs and six on ventilators. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,950 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, Kathmandu district recorded only five cases of COVID-19 on the same day. These included four cases in Kathmandu and one case in Lalitpur district.
