KATHMANDU, Feb 26: Nepal recorded 155 new cases of COVID-19 along with 540 recoveries and two deaths from the deadly virus on Saturday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 5,152 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 101 PCR and 54 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.
There are currently 8,945 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 8,578 are in self-isolation, 261 in institutional isolation, 92 in ICU’s and 14 on ventilators. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,934 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 27 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 20 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, one in Bhaktapur and six in Lalitpur districts.
