KATHMANDU, May 17: Nepal recorded 9,247 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday along with 5,767 recoveries and 214 cases of death linked to this viral disease.
According to the latest data released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 21,653 PCR tests and 434 antigen tests were conducted on Monday. Of them, 9,198 PCR tests and 49 antigen tests turned out to be positive.

Similarly, as many as 5,767 COVID-19 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours.
The health ministry also recorded 214 cases of fatality related to COVID-19 on Monday taking Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll to 5215.
There are currently 113,480 active cases of COVID-19 across the country as of Monday afternoon. Of them, 106,510 are in home isolation, 6,970 are in institutional isolation, 1,259 in ICU and 400 are on ventilators.
