KATHMANDU, Nov 22: Nepal received the fourth tranche of earthquake relief support of essential medical supplies from India. The essential medical supplies were handed over to the Government of Nepal by India on Monday.
According to a press statement issued by the Embassy of India in Kathmandu, the support comprising vital medicines and equipment is based on the requirement shared by the Nepal Medical Association (NMA). Till now, India has provided over 34 tonnes of emergency relief materials for the affected families in Nepal following the earthquake in Jajarkot and surrounding areas on November 3, 2023.

The embassy in a statement said India’s humanitarian response to the Jajarkot earthquake reaffirms its commitment to support Nepal under the Neighborhood First Policy. “India will continue to support the relief efforts in Nepal based on the assessment and priorities outlined by the Government of Nepal,” the statement further said.
