Nepal-Namibia second leg starts; PM in cricket ground

Kathmandu, April 18: The second leg match between Nepal and Namibia under the World Cricket League Championship has begun in Kirtipur TU Cricket Ground today.

Nepal has chosen fielding after winning toss in today's match.


Some special dignitaries including Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli are also present at the ground to encourage Team Nepal.

Likewise, nearly 17,000 audiences have already reached the ground while many others are seen thronging there. The audiences are chanting phrase 'Nepal Nepal' with national flag on hand.

Nepali team has witnessed slight change today. Sagar Pun is in team in place of Raju Rijal and Binod Bhandari is given the responsibility of wicket keeper.

Today's Nepali team comprises Paras Khadka, Gyanendra Malla, Sharad Bheswakar, Shakti Gauchan, Basanta Regmi, Sompal Kami, Binod Bhandari, Rajesh Pulami Magar, Sagar Pun, Naresh Budhaer and Sandeep Lamichhane.

Earlier Nepal had made a superb start while defeating Namibia by 5 wickets in the first match of third round under the championship on last Saturday.

With this win Nepal's dream to participate in the World Cup Cricket Selection to be held in Bangladesh in 2018 is alive. RSS
