KATHMANDU, April 3: Nepal recorded 23 new cases of COVID-19 along with 66 recoveries and zero death from the virus on Sunday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 6,909 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 23 PCR tests turned out to be positive for the virus.
There are currently 916 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 858 are in self-isolation, 41 in institutional isolation, 15 in ICU’s and two on ventilators. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,951 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded eight cases of COVID-19 on the da, - seven in Kathmandu while the remaining one in Lalitpur districts.
