According to the organizers, the five-day event managed to draw around 125,000 visitors and record transactions worth Rs 120 million.
The fair was organized jointly by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and Ministry of Commerce and Supplies (MoCS) with the slogan of 'Showcasing Nepal'.
Talking to Republica, Bidur Chandra Lamichhane, coordinator of the fair, said that the event drew attention of many countries and traders. "The event proved successful in promote domestic products among participating foreign traders and visitors," he added.
Traders from Bangladesh, India, China, Pakistan, Bhutan, Malaysia and Taiwan along with Nepal had participated in the event. Exhibitors showcased products like handicraft, readymade garments, carpet, agro products, herbal and medicinal products, among others, through 340 stalls.
Meanwhile, FNCCI has announced to organized Nepal International Trade Fair in February next year.
"Our aim was to promote the export of 19 products -- 12 goods and seven services -- identified by Nepal Trade Integration Strategy (NTIS), and we have become successful in doing that," claimed Lamichhane.
