Nepal-India joint border patrol

NAWALPARASI, Dec 21: Border security persons from Nepal and India have carried out a joint patrol of the border in west Nawalparasi. 


Nepal's Armed Police Force and the Border Security Force of India performed the joint patrol on Wednesday. The patrolling was done from pillar number 500 to 497, according to the APF border outpost in Guthi Parsauni.

The BSF post in Jhulanipur in India was involved in the joint patrolling. The Nepali side was led by police inspector Tej Bahadur Budhathoki while the Indian team was led by DSP N Chongloi. 


The two sides have also discussed ways to resolve the problems of cross border smuggling and other security challenges in the border.

 

The joint patrol comprised 13 APF personnel, eight from Nepal Police and 10 from the Indian SSB. RSS
