KATHMANDU, Aug 19: Host Nepal have lost their first match against Kyrgystan at the ongoing Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Central Zone Senior Men’s Volleyball Championship in a straight 3-0.
In the match played at Nepal Army’s Physical Fitness and Training Center in Lalitpur on Monday afternoon, Kyrgystan beat Nepal 25-23, 25-22, 25-22.
The hosts have faced a disappointing result as they are eyeing to reach in the finals of the tournament.
Nepal will take on the Maldives in its second match on Wednesday at 5 pm.
In the inaugural match played earlier on Monday, Turkeministan beat Afghanistan by 32-30,16-25,27-25, 26-24.
Another match slated for this evening is between Bangladesh and Uzbekistan. The match is scheduled to kick off at 6 pm.
