KATHMANDU, Jan 19: Nepal Women’s National Cricket team has faced a 70-run defeat at the hand of host Thailand in the final match of Women’s Twenty20 Smash Cricket held at Bangkok, Thailand on Saturday.
Nepal was all out for 51 runs in 17.2 overs while it was chasing 122 runs target set for Nepal by Thailand.
Neri Thapa top-scored with 17 runs, vice captain Sita Rana Magar collected 13 runs while the other batsmen could not score double-digit runs for Nepal.

Earlier, sent in to bat first after losing the toss, Thailand had made 121 runs in the allotted 20 overs, losing only one wicket.
Thailand's cricketer Nattakan Chantam made highest 69 runs including four fours and remained not out. Naruemol Thaibai scored 27 runs before being sent back to pavilion by Nepal’s captain Rubina Chhetry. Similarly, Chanida Sutthiruang contributed 19 runs for Thailand’s win.
Thailand had reached the final by defeating United Arab Emirates by 49 runs while Nepal had defeated Indonesia by 92 runs to reach the final.
