KATHMANDU, Nov 12: Nepal secured an impressive victory against Kuwait in the ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier.
Nepal defeated Kuwait by a wide margin of 165 runs in their fourth match of the qualifier.

Kuwait, chasing a high target of 214 runs set by Nepal, were all out for 48 runs in 13 overs. Captain Puja Mahato took five wickets to defeat Kuwait.
Earlier, after Captain Puja Mahato’s record-breaking century, Nepal lost two wickets in the scheduled over and posted a huge total of 213 runs in the allotted 20 overs.
Mahato scored 130 runs off 69 balls, including 17 boundaries. Alongside her, Sony Pakhrin scored 43 runs off 33 balls. Apart from them, Sabitri Dhami contributed 11 runs and Sana Praveen contributed six runs.
With Tuesday’s victory, Nepal has accumulated eight points from five games. The UAE, who have played one match less, also have the same points and remain at the top position on the basis of the net run rate. Nepal will play their final match against the host team, the UAE.
