KATHMANDU, Feb 20: Nepal Civil Service Employee's Union (NCSEU), a sister wing of the main opposition party Nepali Congress, on Thursday condemned the abusive words used by the Minister for Communication and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Baskota while addressing the government employees in a leaked audio recording of a conversation between Baskota and Swiss Company local agent Bijaya Prakash Mishra.
Union's reaction came hours after a leaked audio recording of a conversation between Baskota and agent Mishra made headlines in Nepali media, where the minister is heard bargaining for Rs 700 million in bribe over the procurement of security printing press for the government.

According to the NCSEU, Baskota's words addressing the public servants have hurt the sentiments of the government employees and humiliated them. "He should be taken action for the words used during the audio humiliating the entire bureaucracy," a press statement released by the union on Thursday reads.
The union also warned of boycotting the minister if he is not taken any action for his words.
