KATHMANDU, Jan 12: As Nepal is set to host the 23rd Asian Regional Conference of International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) next week in Kathmandu, Nepal Police is set to raise the issues of human trafficking, drugs trafficking, trans-border economic and organized crimes as well as crimes related to wildlife as its major concerns.
Nepal Police is holding the conference of Interpol Asia Regional Conference after 27 years. The three-day conference will take place at Hayat Hotel, Kathmandu. Nepal had organized the 10th Asia Regional meeting earlier.
Nepal Police organized a press conference on Thursday about the preparation of the event. During the press conference, AIG Bigyanraj Sharma informed that the Nepal Police will discuss about the trans-border crimes with representatives from India and China in the sideline meetings of the conference.
According to Sharma, 250 police and law enforcement officials of the 55-member organizations will participate in the conference.
