Nepa Party leader Sayami passes away

KATHMANDU, Dec 27: Nepa Party leader and former lawmaker Budhha Sayami passed away last night at the age of 72. Sayami, a diabetes patient, had been admitted to the Jawalakhel-based Alka Hospital, following complications in his liver and kidneys. 

His mortal body has been placed in Bhugolpark to pay last tributes. Industry Minister Nabindra Raj Joshi, Nepali Congress leaders Tirtharam Dangol and Bhimsen Das Pradhan, Federal Socialist Forum Nepal co–chair Rajendra Shrestha, Nepa Party officiating chair Suwarna Keshari Chitrakar and litterateur Durgalal Shrstha were among those visiting the local Bhugolpark to offer last tribute to the late leader. 

Sayami, popular as a revolutionary poet of the Nepal Bhasha (Newari language), was the member (from proportional representation) in the first Constituent Assembly from his party. 

His cremation is to take place at the Pashupati Aryaghat today itself, according to party General Secretary Dr Bijay Sainju. 
He is survived by his wife, one daughter and a son. RSS
