DAMAULI, March 23: Tanahun Vice President of Nepali Congress Tararaj Rana has died on Wednesday. He was 65.
Rana died of a heart attack, said Rana's nephew Jitraj. Rana was taken to local Shiva Medical Hall after complaining of a chest pain when he had gone to his field at around 12:30 pm on Wednesday, he said.
Rana was referred and breathed his last on the way to Fishtail Hospital in Pokhara, a family member said.
He was declared dead later at the hospital. Rana, who started his political career in the NC from 2032 B.S., is survived by a wife, two daughters and two sons.
Meanwhile, NC senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel, central and local level NC leaders and lawmakers paid tribute to Rana and extended condolences to the bereaved family.
In separate massages, NC leader Poudel, NC parliamentary party secretary and lawmaker Dhurba Wagle and NC Tanahun president Baikuntha Neupane expressed sorrow over the demise of Rana. RSS
