KATHMANDU, May 17: Nepal Government Employees Organization (NEGO) on Thursday urged all communities not to organize any program that would disturb ethnic and religious harmony.

Taking strong exception to Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal´s recent statement, NEGO said such statements by top political leaders would undermine national integrity.

Dahal during a meeting recently had asked lawmakers from indigenous communities to take to the streets to ensure identity-based federalism.

President of the NEGO Bholanath Pokharel, however, lauded the agreement between the major political parties on the contentious issues of constitution writing.
