NCP meeting at PM's residence

KATHMANDU, Aug 8: A meeting of Central Secretariat of Nepal Communist Party is ongoing at the Prime Minister's residence, Baluwatar. The meeting is likely to discuss resignation of Narayan Kaji Shrestha as the party’s spokesperson and lower level unity process.

KATHMANDU, Aug 8: A meeting of Central Secretariat of  Nepal Communist Party is ongoing at the Prime Minister's residence, Baluwatar. The meeting is likely to discuss resignation of Narayan Kaji Shrestha as the party’s spokesperson and lower level unity process, according to a source.

Shrestha had tendered his resignation after Prime Minister KP Oli asked him to furnish oral clarification for his decisions to meet Dr. Govinda KC and Sushila Karki. Shrestha, in turn, had resigned of his post.


The NCP’s leaders have been urging the former CPN-Maoist leader to withdraw his resignation.
