Issuing a press statement on Tuesday, Ncell said it provided the support to children after media reported financial troubles in Bal Mandir which left children deprived of food and other basic things. Mahendra Bhattachan, security and administration director of Ncell, handed over the check to Ramesh Bhumi, director of Nepal Children Organization (NCO) that operates Bal Mandir on Friday. [break]
“Ncell has always been sensitive to children"s needs and has been contributing to children education by constructing classrooms, setting up libraries and providing drinking water and other basic facilities in 55 community-run schools across Nepal. So, we decided to respond to children"s need at Bal Mandir as soon as their sad stories featured in media and are happy to hand over the support today,” said Sanju Koirala, corporate communication director, at Ncell.
NCO director Bhumi thanked Ncell for the support. “Ncell support has come at a time when we are facing severe financial crunch. We are grateful. It will enable us to feed and provide other basic things to children for another 15 days,” said Bhumi.
