KATHMANDU, June 12:: Ncell has stated that two of its projects aimed at connecting rural areas with telecommunication service and providing drinking water as well as irrigation facilities have been nominated for the GSMA Asian Mobile Awards (AMOs) 2017.
“The projects have been shortlisted as nominees for two different awards under social and economic development categories, respectively. The award ceremony is slated to be held in Shanghai, in June 28,” stated a press statement issued by Ncell.
A total of 115 nominees have been shortlisted for 12 awards under five categories -- Best Mobile Apps, Best Mobile Devices, Best Technology Innovation, Outstanding Achievement and Social and Economic Development.
