Ncell organized the event as part of its attempt to exchange seasonal greetings and share happiness of achieving 10 million subscribers with its customers and well-wishers in the seven cities of Nepal. [break]
The Mela featured game stalls, food stalls, kids zone and street activities along with musical concerts. Game stalls pulled youths in drove as they enjoyed live games such as Pick Your Pack, My5 Feast, Fruit Slice and Score and My5 Photo Booth. In Kids Zone, a large number of kids engaged themselves in games and entertainment activities like bouncing castle, trampoline and air dances.
“Ncell Mela in Pokhara was our attempt of saying thank you to our valued customers and exchange happiness and seasonal greetings with all. It has energized us all to stay connected with our dear ones,” said Sanju Koirala, corporate communication director at Ncell.
In street activities, stilt walkers and mascots entertained visitors. Different delicacies in food stalls also tempted the visitors.
Ncell has already organized similar events in Dharan, Birtamod and Birgunj. It is organizing Ncell Mela in in Narayanghat on September 29, Dhangadi on October 1 and Butwal on October 3.
Meanwhile, the Restaurant and Bar Association of Nepal (REBAN) organized street festival in the section of lakeside from Barahi Chowk to Hallan Chowk.
Gopi Bhattarai, president of REBAN said the festival was organized to promote local food and culture among both local and international tourists.
