KATHMANDU, Dec 1: National Co-operative Bank Ltd (NCBL) and Poverty Alleviation Fund (PAF), on Thursday, signed an agreement to jointly help co-operative institutions in Nepal by providing capacity development training, and supporting them for mobilization of savings, loans and capital.
According to the agreement, NCBL will monitor the activities of cooperatives supported by PAF and advise them accordingly. The bank will also aid newly formed co-operatives in increasing their institutional capacity as per the need.
Working method and process for resource mobilization, work division, uplifting reach of co-operatives to financial inclusion shall be designed jointly by NCBL and PAF, a statement issued on Thursday stated.
