BIRATNAGAR, July 8: Nepali Congress has clinched victory in Dhanpal Rural Municipality of the Morang District.
NC candidate Hari Lal Singh has been elected as the chief of the rural municipality with 5, 187 votes.
His closest rival of CPN-UML Mushar Mandal got 4, 835 votes.

Similarly, NC candidate Nasiwa Wano has been elected as deputy chief with 4, 635 votes.
Her closest rival Upasi Rajbansi of of UML was elected with 4, 421 votes.
Newly elected Singh was the former president of the Nepali Congress Morang District.
