A meeting of the leaders of both parties held on Thursday at the residence of NC General Secretary Prakashman Singh decided to make the protest programs public after consulting the leaders of fringe parties, according to UML General Secretary Ishwor Pokhrel. [break]
Pokhrel said the meeting decided to wage stern struggle against the unconstitutional step of the Prime Minister and nationwide protests would be launched after holding a joint meeting with other fringe political parties.
Singh said that the Prime Minister´s move to declare fresh CA elections unilaterally was unconstitutional and a strong movement would be launched against it.
During the meeting, top leaders of the NC and the UML were present. However, UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal were not present in the meeting due to their busy schedule.
