KATHMANDU, May 16: The Nepali Congress is to make its views on the government's policies and programs and the budget by forming concerned thematic committees.
The meeting Wednesday of the NC parliamentary party took the decision in this regard. It also concluded that the House of Representatives and National Assembly rules of procedures should be endorsed based on an all-party consensus, according to Chief Whip Bal Krishna Khand.
On the occasion, NC Chair and PP leader Sher Bahadur Deuba directed all MPs to work hard as the party has to play the role of a strong opposition on issues of nationality, democracy and people's livelihood issues.
He also suggested them to put forth their views in the parliament effectively with full preparation for the same.
Chief Whip Khand, Whip Pushpa Bhushal, Dilendra Prasad Badu, Radheshyam Adhikari, Dr Minendra Rijal, Gagan Kumar Thapa, Ram Bahadur Bista, Sanjaya Kumar Gautam, Pramila Rai, Bharat Kumar Shaha, Atahar Kamal Musalman and Jip Tshering Lama spoke at the meeting. RSS
