NC to host 100,000 guests

KATHMANDU, Nov 1: Main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) party is hosting a tea reception Friday on the occasion of Vijaya Dashami, Deepawali, Nepal Sambat and Chhath festivals.

KATHMANDU, Nov 1: Main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) party is hosting a tea reception Friday on the occasion of Vijaya Dashami, Deepawali, Nepal Sambat and Chhath festivals. 



NC Spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma shared that the party has extended invitation to as many as 100,000 people representing different sectors. The party is hosting the tea reception at the party central office for Kathmandu Valley districts (Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur) and at all the offices of remaining 74 districts tomorrow.

It may be noted that NC founder BP Koirala had initiated the tea reception to exchange festive greetings every year since 1978 AD after he returned to the homeland with the national unity and reconciliation policy. 


This year too, NC has hosted the tea reception from 1.00 pm to 5.00 pm on Friday (November 2) at its central office in Sanepa, Lalitpur. The tea reception will be attended by leaders of different political parties, ministers, parliamentarians, constitutional body chiefs, high-ranking government officials, security agency chiefs, diplomatic mission chiefs, industrialists and entrepreneurs, professionals and academia, civil society leaders, human rights defenders, media owners, journalists, chiefs of NRN's institutions, distinguished people, NC members and well-wishers, Sharma told media.
