NC to hold mas meet to pressure for nat'l consensus

KATHMANDU, Nov 5: The Nepali Congress ( NC) is to organize a mass meeting in the capital with a view to piling pressure for the formation of a national consensus government to conduct fresh elections in April next year.



According to the party source, the mass meeting will be organised at Basantapur on November 9 on the occasion of the 97th birth anniversary of supreme leader Ganeshman Singh.[break]



The party cadres from villages to central level have geared up for making the mass meeting successful, said NC Kathmandu district president Bhimsen Das Pradhan.



Party general secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula has directed the party cadres to be serious towards organizing the mass meeting successfully. New election can not be held in April next year if the national consensus government was not formed within mid-December, said Sitaula. Party President Sushil Koirala, senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba and Vice President Ram Chandra Paudel are scheduled to address the mass meeting.
