NC to continue dialogue for consensus

KATHMANDU, March 14: Today's meeting of the office-bearers of the Nepali Congress has drawn a conclusion to continue the efforts for promulgation of the new constitution through political consensus.

NC Spokesperson Dilendra Badu told the National News Agency (RSS) that the meeting held at the official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar decided to promulgate the new statute through the Constituent Assembly (CA) after forgoing consensus through talks and dialogue among all political parties.


Spokesperson Badu said, "The meeting reviewed the recent meeting of political parties; mulled how to make the talks of four-party meeting, scheduled this afternoon, result-oriented and stressed on forging consensus through talks and dialogue by showing maximum flexibility."

Present on the occasion were NC President and Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, Vice-President Ram Chandra Poudel, General Secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula, and senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba, among others. RSS
