“We have launched a month-long door-to-door campaign in Saptari villages,” said Dinesh Kumar Yadav, district president of the party. He also stated that the campaign would be taken to the district level. Speaking at a function in Rajbiraj, the district headquarters, on Friday central member of the party Minendra Rijal said election is a must to safeguard democracy and federalism. “Democracy would come under threat if we fail to hold the election on the scheduled date,” said Rijal. He accused the Madhes-based parties and UCPN (Maoist) of doing almost nothing for the cause of Madhes.
