NC Spokesperson Dilendra Prasad Badu informed media that the Nepali Congress has now kept the door open for all options on the formation of the consensus government. Earlier, the party had picked its President Sushil Koirala as the prime ministerial candidate.
However, the NC would not compromise on fundamental values of the democracy, independent judiciary, constitutional supremacy and separation of powers, he said, adding that discussions with other parties would be kept on for finding the political solution.
Similarly, the party decided to entrust the responsibility to party President Koirala, Vice-President Ram Chandra Poudel and senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba to hold discussion with other parties and reach a conclusion.
Various leaders, including senior leader Deuba and other central members spoke in the meeting.
