NC's meet ends condeming Party Prez

KATHMANDU, April 27:   A Central Working Committee meeting of the Nepali Congress which is currenty undeway at the central party headquarters has been scheduled for tomorrow. 


In today's meeting, party’s senior leader Ramchandra Poudel lashed out at the activities of party President Sher Bahadur Deuba. Coming hard on the modus operandi  of the party president, Paudel commended that  it is against the statute. He said, "The leadership engaged in monopoly and lacked transparency in the party."

Likewise, Bijaya Kumar Gachhadhar has claimed for the post of vice-president demanding that agreements be implemented as per the deal signed during the party merger. According to the statute of Nepali Congress, only those elected in the central committee can be appointed as the party’s vice president. 


NC spokesperson Bishwo Prakash Sharma said that the leaders expressed their views on the party's status in the meeting today and that the party’s general secretary would present a report on it in tomorrow’s meeting.


“Party’s General Secretary Shashank Koirala will address all the views expressed in previous sessions,” informed Sharma. 


The meeting will commence from 9:00 am tomorrow.
