KATHMANDU, Aug 25: Nepali Congress has fixed the date for Maha Samiti meeting from November 21 till November 25. The meeting of the central committee held on Saturday at party office Sanepa, finalized the date for the meeting, according to Bishwa Prakash Sharma, the party spokesperson.
The meeting endorsed the suggestion of the meeting date proposed by the party’s President Sher Bahadur Deuba.
The Maha Samiti meeting was scheduled by the mid of September. However, some committee members demanded an immediate meeting.
Yesterday, the opposition party formed an 11 member Statute Amendment Drafting Committee to restructure the party's structures in line with the federal setup.
