Speaking to journalists at Biratnagar Airport, Koirala made the suggestion after corruption allegations surfaced in the Department of Immigration.
Home Minister Lekhak urges immigration staff to represent Nepal...

He said that the Home Minister Lekhak should resign on moral grounds and support the investigation. Koirala stated, "Ramesh should resign to maintain moral integrity by saying 'I am clean.' The government should form an investigation committee and carry out the inquiry. That will demonstrate moral integrity."
Employees under the Ministry of Home Affairs and staff working directly in Minister Lekhak's secretariat faced allegations related to the visa-on-arrival scandal. As questions now target Minister Lekhak himself, Koirala made this call for resignation.
