NC lawmaker KC accuses Oli govt of transferring Rs 47 billion belonging to Nepalis to Swiss Bank

KATHMANDU, June 10: Nepali Congress (NC) lawmaker Arjun Narsingha KC has claimed that the then government led by KP Oli was to blame for the transfer of Rs 47 billion from Nepal to the Swiss Bank.

KATHMANDU, June 10: Nepali Congress (NC) lawmaker Arjun Narsingha KC has claimed that the then government led by KP Oli was to blame for the transfer of Rs 47 billion from Nepal to the Swiss Bank.


In the meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) on Friday, KC asked, "In 2019, there was about Rs 22 billion of Nepalis in the Swiss bank. But now it has increased to Rs 47 billion. Isn't this an incident that occurred during the tenure of the then government led by the main opposition party CPN-UML?”

Lawmaker KC said that the country's public debt from 2018 to 2021 was Rs 8 trillion and now it has reached  Rs 1.59 trillion because of the then government led by Oli. CPN (Maoist Center) Deputy Secretary General Janardan Sharma said that the assets of all those who have reached public office since 2046 BS should be investigated.
