MORANG, Oct 22: Nepali Congress (NC) general secretary Dr Shashanka Koirala has said the NC has still its stronger presence. Talking to media persons today at Biratnagar Airport in brief, the leader was of the view of summoning the party's Mahasamiti meeting as soon as possible.
As he said, the party faced the unexpected defeats in the latest elections at home as the culture of factionalism had badly gripped the party at the time and all associated with the party not only the party leadership should take the responsibility for the loss.
Similarly, NC leader and former deputy prime minister Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar who was seen together with Koirala asserted that the incumbent government with a two-thirds majority to run the country should be clear about the needs and agenda of the country and act accordingly.
