KATHMANDU, Dec 26: General Secretary of the main opposition Nepali Congress Dr Shashanka Koirala has said that Sher Bahadur Deuba will not be the next party president.
Speaking with Shree Ram Paudel for Nagarik Frontline on Wednesday, Dr Koirala revealed that he is also in the race for the party presidency in upcoming general convention and refuted that Deuba will be next party chief.
“It was very necessary to look the option for Deuba as he became so unpopular within the party,” he said and added that it is still not sure who is going to be in the post.
