KATHMANDU, July 7: The conditon of Nepali Congress General Secretary Shashanka Koirala, who is currently undergoing treatment at Om Hospital, is still critical despite signs of improvement on Thursday.
Updatig on the health condition of Koirala this morning, a meeting of the medical team concluded that his health condition is still critical though he has shown some signs of improvement.
According to a medical report issued on the latest status of his health condition, Koirala has started responding to the verbal commands.

"His blood pressure has stabilized with minimum medicine support while oxygen saturation is maintained and there is an adequate urine output ," reads the medical update.
His chest X-ray and blood gas analysis have shown some signs of improvement.
Koirala was diagonsed with aspiration pneumonia yesterday and has been kept on vantilator. Updating journalists on Koirala's health conditon, Dr. Hari K Shrestha said that Koirala was administered antibiotics and hopefully would show some signs of improvment after 48 hours.
He had been rushed to Om Hospital after he complained of abdominal pain and respiratory problem on Tuesday evening.
In an update on Wednesday afternoon, the team of senior doctors said the medical board review found "aspration pneumonia leading to septic shock and multi-organ dysfunction."
According to a family source, Koirala had felt uneasy when he returned to his home at Tokha after attending a gathering with a few friends at his Maharajgunj home.
