NC elects lone woman district prez

LAHAN, Sept 5: Sita Devi Yadav has been elected as the president of Nepali Congress Siraha District Committee President, Saturday. This is the third time Yadav has been elected to the post of Siraha District Committee president.



Yadav joined NC politics after her husband and then district development committee president Chandra Narayan Yadav died on June 19, 2000.



Talking to mediapersons after the election, Yadav said she felt proud to have been elected as only women president of NC district committee for the third consecutive time.
