According to a press statement issued on Sunday, Vice-president Paudel appointed 20 of the total 25 members as per the Article 36 of the NC Statute and clause 27 and sub-clause 4 of the party´s regulations. [break]
“Remaining five will be appointed in a way that will ensure representation of all groups of people,” states the press release.
Those appointed as members of the academy include Bal Dev Sharma Bajgai (Dang), Ajaya Dwibedi (Parsa), Jagadishchandra Pokharel (Tanahu), Sudhir Kumar Siwakoti (Jhapa), Narayan Dutta Mishra (Kailali), Prithivi Man Gurun (Chitwan), Binod Kayastha (Bhaktapur), Binod Bhattarai (Kathmandu) and Dr Bishnu Shankar Paudel (Chitwan).
Dr Ram Thapaliya (Kavre), Aananda Shantoshi Rai (Dhankuta), Sarita Prasain (Jhapa), Dinesh Tripathi (Rupandehi), Madhabi Katuwal(Morang), Jitprakash Ale (Tanahu), Dhana Khatiwada (Lalitpur), Nagina Devi Yadav(Mahottari), Chhatra Telar (Kailali), Muftar Ahmad(Siraha), Shyam Lal Rana Tharu (Kanchanpur) are also among those appointed as members of the academy.
The academy is entrusted to provide suggestions and feedbacks on the type of policy the party should adopt in order to address people´s expectations.
The academy will also provide orientations to the party cadres at district level. The first meeting of the academy is scheduled to be held on March 3 at the NC´s Headquarters in Sanepa.
