NC candidate announces ticket withdrawal

BAJURA, Oct 1: Nepali Congress leader Dev Raj Joshi, who was given ticket to contest Constituent Assembly (CA) election this time from the district, has announced to withdraw his ticket.



´I have withdrawn ticket and recommended it be given to the potential winner candidate´, he said, adding that he took this decision when his own party cadres picketed his residence in Kathmandu and warned him to make loser in the election.



´I do not feel comfortable to take ticket when co-workers Padma Bahadur Shahi and party district secretary Dhanraj Pandit openly objected to my candidacy. But I will support to any candidate obtaining ticket from the constituency, he further said.



Earlier, Joshi had won elections from the constituency in 2048 and 2064 BS elections.



He is respected to be a honest cadre of the NC in the district.
