According to Ramesh Mahat, NC district secretary, the injured are identified as Achyut Acharya of raute Besin and Saha Dev Upreti of Narjamandap VDC.[break]
He further informed that Tapindra Singh Lama of Gaoun kharka-1 and Rup Lama of Betini have gone missing the after the attack.
According to Mahat, Maoist affiliated Youth Communist League cadres attacked its cadres at around 12 midnight. NC cadres had arrived to the village as part of their election campaign.
However, UCPN (Maoist) refuted the claim that its cadres assaulted the NC cadres. Nabin Pudasaini, UCPN (Maoist) district party office secretary, clarified that his party cadres have no hands in the incident and added that it was a ploy to defame his party.
