NC asks for NMKP support for PM bid

BHAKTAPUR, Aug 26: A team of Nepali Congress (NC) leaders led by party’s prime minister candidate, Ram Chandra Poudel, met chairman of Nepal Majdoor Kisan Party, Narayan Man Bijukchhe, at the latter’s residence, Bhaktapur Friday morning .



After the meeting, pm candidate Poudel told journalists that he urged Bijukchhe to support NC in the prime ministerial election. [break]



Poudel said, “I came here to seek his support in prime ministerial election. He has talked positively. I am confident that he will support me.”



The NC leader also claimed that he will be elected the prime minister by getting support from all parties as time has not come to believe the UCPN (Maoist).



After the meeting, Bijukchhe however said his party will support a party in the prime ministerial election only after analyzing the programmes of the NC and UCPN (Maoist).
