NBA conveyed its warning to Chief Justice Kedar Prasad Giri at the latter’s office at the Supreme Court on Wednesday, a week after the officers in judicial service accused lawyers of evading tax.
Judicial official, at a press conference last week, asked the Judicial Council headed by the chief justice to give priority to them while appointing judges at appellate courts as they are more competent than the lawyers.
“We drew attention of the chief justice toward the statement of the officials and asked him to make them disciplined,” Raman Kumar Shrestha, general secretary of NBA, said after meeting with the chief justice.
